Schedule:                                       Monday-Friday, 0830-1700 (40 hours)

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:       Incumbent will perform a variety of food preparation and food service tasks.  Tasks consist of several steps that require attention to work operations and follow an established sequence of work.  These tasks are food preparation and service, kitchen maintenance, clean up and food storage.  Prepares items for serving to children and youth.  Transports food from kitchen to classrooms or activity area.  May perform other related duties in support of the Child & Youth Program.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Must be at least 18 years old, and have a high school diploma

Knowledge of food handling techniques, personal hygiene standards and safe work procedures. And knowledge of food service equipment as in operation, safety, cleaning and sanitation standards

Working knowledge of diet principles and knowledge of basic arithmetic in order to determine number of servings per container yields. 

Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and have strong interpersonal communication skills

Must pass a pre-employment physical and provide evidence of immunization and be free from communicable disease.

Must satisfactorily pass all background checks to include Nation Agency Check with fingerprints.

Must satisfactorily complete required training certificates and maintain certifications or credentials required by federal, state or National Accreditation institutions.
