Position Title: Recreation Asst. – Dock Master
Physical Location: Marina and Community Recreation Facility
Naval Support Activity Panama City
Grade/Series/Rate: NF-0189-02, $18.00 Per Hour

Schedule: 40 hrs p/wk, weekends and holidays as needed

Description of Duties: Assists in conducting daily business at the Marina: greeting customers, checking customers in and out, dockage, selling fuel, dry dock accommodations and slip assignments. Oversees daily responsibilities of outside staff, keep docks neat and organized, general dock maintenance, scheduling and performing haul out/launching of boats. Be familiar with various types of boat lifting equipment. Assists customers with launch and recovery of boats using 20K Marine Forklift. Be familiar with FL State Clean Marina Initiative Program. May assist in conducting inventory for proper accountability of program equipment and resources.
Must be versatile in all aspects of the Marina Operations as they may assume the duties of the Marina Manager in his/her absence.
Qualification Requirements
- Knowledge of the basic principles and techniques associated with the safe and proper operation of a marina/outdoor recreation facility and associated programs and equipment.
- Must have experience leading staff, good communication and customer service skills
- Must obtain a forklift license or be able to obtain within 60 days of hire
- Must have FL boater safety course certification, or able to obtain within 60 days of hire.
- Must have valid Florida driver’s license.
- Must successfully pass background check and physical to operate forklift
