Position:                             Recreation Aid – Marina/Community Rec

Pay Band/Series                        NF-0189-01 - $15.00 per hour

Physical Location:               MWR Marina, Naval Support Activity Panama City, FL

Employment Category:       Flexible Employment, up to 40 hours p/wk.

         Weekends and Holiday as required

Description of Duties:          Helps with serving customers, providing program information, and assisting in the daily operation of the marina and community recreation facility, to include assistance with special functions and events.  Prepares required materials, supplies or other resources necessary for program or facility operations.  

Assists in preparing and maintaining equipment, ensuring facilities and equipment are in good operating order and free of safety hazards, keeping supervisor current regarding status of facilities and equipment.  May work independently or as a team to complete assignments.  May drive a government vehicle in support of program operations.  Majority of work is performed outdoors, involving elements of physical exertion.

Qualification Requirements

  • Must have good customer service skills. 
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Florida driver’s license, preferred
  • Must successfully pass local background check and other background checks as required
