POSITION TITLE: Custodial Worker
SERIES/PAY: NA-3566-02, Step 05, $10.99 P/Hr
PHYSICAL LOCATION: Navy Gateway Inns & Suites
Naval Support Activity Panama City, FL
EMPLOYMENT CATEGORY: Full Time - Includes Benefits
WORK SCHEDULE: 40 Hrs/wk - 7:00AM to 3:30PM or 8:00AM to 4:30PM
Schedule to include Weekends and Holidays
CLOSING DATE: Until Filled
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: Local Commuting Area
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Incumbent will perform a full range of custodial duties to include shampooing carpets, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning common areas, disinfecting, etc.
SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE: Previous work experience preferred, but not required. Needs basic abilities & knowledge, which generally require no job training; read signs, follow simple oral and written instructions, move around well enough to work safely, lift and move items weighing up to 45 lbs, go up and down stairs.
Must be able to use common cleaning tools and light weight vacuum cleaners. In addition, may use power waxers and buffers, which require a short training period. Must be able to pass certification within 90 days from hire date. Must be able to successful pass background investigation. Valid driver’s license required.
